Something not working, or a place looking wrong? Email jigu.trip@gmail.com and a person will read it. Below are the problems that come up most, and what usually fixes them.
The map can't find me
Jigu asks for your location once, and iOS remembers your answer. If you declined, the map opens on a default spot instead of yours.
You can turn it back on in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Jigu.
You don't have to, though. Drag the map until the place you want to search around is in the middle of the screen — that spot becomes your anchor, and everything works the same from there. This is also the better approach when you're planning tomorrow from tonight's hostel.
No results, or fewer than expected
Results come from Google Places, and Jigu only shows places that are really there — it will show you nothing before it invents something.
If a category looks empty, the anchor is usually somewhere thin: a residential block, a highway, a park. Drag the map toward a street with shops and search again.
Sights is deliberately strict. It favours places with enough visitor reviews to be worth a detour, so a small local spot may not appear there even though it exists.
It stops working without signal
Jigu needs a connection: the map tiles, the place data, and the assistant all come from the network. On a plane or down a metro line, you'll see an offline screen.
Nothing is lost — it picks up where you left off once you're back on data or Wi‑Fi.
Accounts and saved places
You never need an account. The map, search, and the assistant all work fully signed out.
Signing in with Apple is optional and does one thing: it keeps the places you save, so they follow you to another phone.
To delete your account, tap the globe in the top left to open your profile, then Delete accountat the bottom. It removes your account and every place you saved, straight away, and it can't be undone. If you would rather we did it, email jigu.trip@gmail.com.
Reporting something wrong
Ratings, opening hours, and reviews come from Google, so Jigu shows what Google has. If a place has closed or its details are wrong, correcting it on Google Maps fixes it here too.
If the app itself is misbehaving, email jigu.trip@gmail.comand include your device and iOS version, roughly when it happened, and what you were doing. That's usually enough to find it.
